Hi everyone. I've just attended a meeting about the new official healthcare Information Standard. It's a certification scheme for health and social care information producers.

Says their website: "Those organisations that meet the criteria will be entitled to place a quality mark on their information materials, so people searching for healthcare information can easily identify it as coming from a reliable, trustworthy source."

It is quite an onerous scheme, but if it takes off, could pay enormous dividends, so I am going to put in an application, Exciting stuff!

Official launch date is today, after thinking I was ready two days ago :o) Traffic levels have been brilliant. Over fify unique visitors in just a few hours. And we've had our first very generous donation. Thanks everybody.

OK, a bit of a delay in posting, but I've devoted my every waking hour into licking this website into shape! ;o) We're finally ready to go live. Hope you like the results.

The website still needs a lot of work but I have identified professional help in fundraising, branding and management consultancy. Exciting times!
